The Steel Construction Institute (SCI) is an independent, member-based organisation.

The objective of the SCI is to develop and promote the effective use of steel in construction. With a team of multi-disciplinary staff, of over 40 skilled engineers, architects and IT professionals, they are experts in their specific fields. They work on both onshore and offshore projects, funded by industry, members, UK national and local government and the EC Commission. The SCI's research and development activities reflect the changing needs of its members, the market place and government directives.
