WEC CCTV Expands Range with Bespoke Telescopic Camera Pole

29 Mar 2018

WEC CCTV has built up almost 40 years of expertise in the Highways industry and is a world class manufacturer of camera poles, towers, brackets and associated camera mounting products.

The new bespoke telescopic CCTV mast is the latest to be manufactured by the company as a result of customer demand, and has been designed for use in locations where a tilt-over pole cannot be mounted.

Built to complement the Lancashire-based specialist’s extensive range of highways masts, it has endured rigorous in-house testing and been designed to guarantee robustness and reliability in all weather conditions, whilst providing the company’s usual standard of reliability.

The simple features of the bespoke telescopic camera mast provides greater reliability and safety in its operation. Camera equipment can be maintained at low level without any need to tilt down, which is ideal for safety and reducing labour costs.

Mike Allison, Sales Manager at WEC CCTV, said: “The new telescopic mast is a perfect solution for temporary security measures, such as on building sites and at outdoor trade shows and events.

“We have been asked many times by our loyal customers if we can manufacture telescopic poles, so we listened and decided to add it to our already extensive range as a result!”

Available in heights of 4m-8m, the telescopic camera mast comes with a galvanised finish as standard and optional specialist paint finishes to match any scheme.

For ease of use and transportation, the bespoke mast doesn’t require any cables and can be transported in a standard van. It can also be exported internationally with rapid deployment for customers overseas.

Recent projects have seen WEC CCTV manufacture and supply 65 specially designed camera masts for the new Mersey Gateway Bridge, including trolley head masts, tilt over radar masts and cantilever masts.

Operating from 600,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing facilities and as part of the wider engineering and fabrication company WEC Group, WEC CCTV work closely with Highways England and are accredited to supply motorway structures in accordance with the National Highway Sector Scheme 6. This involves the design, manufacture and installation of structures including traffic signals and camera systems.

The company also recently passed the audit for the accreditation to highways work scheme 19A for painting processes, coming together with its ISO 9606:2017 welding accreditation and ISO 9001:2008 certification.
