Health & Safety Executive. Fees for Intervention
27 Apr 2017
The HSE is consulting on a revised and fully independent process for considering disputes in relation to FFI (Fee For Intervention). This is due to a court case raised to tackle the “judge, jury & executioner” perception of the process, as it currently stands, not being fully independent. They are consulting on the detail as to how the process should work in operation. In particular, they are keen to recognise the need to ensure that the process has to be accessible to all types and sizes of business and is proportionate to the issues involved and amount of the fees.
The consultation will seek views on the details of the process. As with any other consultation they undertake any individual person or individual company can respond to the consultation in their own right.
