Stainless Steel and Fashion-Stainless Steel and Crystal hats

A graduate, Laila Gulamali has made a small collection of headpieces using stainless steel wire, stainless steel shim and crystal. In addition, some earrings and some lily pins in the same style as well as a theatrical ring.

Laila wanted to challenge the concepts of stainless steel, is just an industrial material used for construction and household products? Laila wanted stainless steel to be appeciated for its qualities outside areas its is traditionally used in. With combined toughness and danger of steel with crystal to produce fragile eyecatching pieces that were a luxury not a neccessity.

Laila spotwelded stainless steel and stainless steel shim using new advances in technology along with the help of a tutor Peter Johns who specialises in new innovations and techniques.
