TIMco Extends Stainless Steel Range to Meet Demand
18 Apr 2017
TIMco, one of the UK’s largest independent wholesale suppliers of screws, fixings and fasteners, has extended its Stainless Steel range to now include more than 20 different product styles. The decision to extend the range follows demand from customers for high quality, durable stainless steel products due to its reputation as a highly versatile metal with greater resistance to corrosion than traditional carbon steel.
The range includes an extensive selection of products from carriage bolts to collated nails as well as screws, fasteners and other fixings. All products are made from high quality A2 (304) austenitic stainless steel, suitable for many day to day external or corrosive applications. For extremely corrosive environments, such as coastal areas, TIMco has products like clad pins and polymer headed pins from an A4 (316) austenitic stainless steel. Details of the products are available in a new dedicated stainless steel brochure or online at timco.co.uk
TIMco has also built a team dedicated to sourcing, testing and competitively pricing the new product line. Different packaging options are available to reduce inventory costs, improve stock management, and provide an alternative way to buy stainless steel. Neil Maciver has been appointed to develop and manage the range and we are proud to be an accredited member of the British Stainless Steel Association (BSSA).
Simon Midwood, Managing Director of TIMco comments “The extension of the stainless steel range illustrates the strength and depth of products that TIMco now offers. We aim to provide customers with the highest quality products on the market and so all our stainless steel products have been fully tried and tested including X-ray analysis and spending hours in salt spray tests to prove their durability and quality.”
TIMco is head quartered in Nantwich, Cheshire, imports and supplies more than 5,500 product lines from around the world to distributors throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. The company was established in 1970 and now employs 110 members of staff from it offices in the UK, Ireland and Taiwan. For more information, visit www.TIMco.co.uk.
