Metal Bulletin Events and SMR (Steel & Metals Research) held their 2013 Summit in London, bringing together experts and decision makers from the industry’s most influential companies. With a special emphasis on providing insight into developments concerning nickel, chrome, molybdenum and stainless steel scrap, the Summit set out to address “The Road to Recovery” following an extended and difficult period for the industry. Paul Barker, Managing Director of the BSSA presented a paper entitled “In which end-use segments does market development make sense?”

 

Spread over three days, the Summit provided regular opportunities for the delegates, organisers and presenters to network whilst open discussion “Fireside Chats” covered key topics of concern for the year ahead. The main presentation sessions were:
