Welcoming Kate Vale & Lauren Kelley to the BSSA!

Kate Vale, Association Administrator

We are pleased to welcome Kate Vale to the BSSA as Association Administrator; Kate will be providing maternity leave cover for Lucy when she starts her leave on Friday 20th July. Kate joined the BSSA in May and is now fully up to speed with the running of the Association. Kate’s main responsibilities include membership and events administration, so if you haven’t spoken to her already she will no doubt be in contact with you over the coming months. Kate is thoroughly enjoying her time at the BSSA and hopes to meet more of you in the near future.

Kate was an independent film maker who then moved into the music industry, then from the music industry to stage/ touring costumes for actors and bands. Kate has worked for Kylie, One Direction, JLS, Justin Bieber amongst others. When Kate’s not working she can be found Weight Lifting (not to be confused with Body Building or Power Lifting!) training in the gym, as she is hoping to break a British record later in the year.

Lauren Kelley, Marketing Assistant

Following the departure of our previous Marketing Assistant, Laura Willcox back in 2009, the BSSA welcomes Lauren Kelley as our Marketing Assistant for 2012- 2013. Lauren is from Sheffield Hallam University and is reading for a BA (Hons) Business and Marketing degree; she started her placement in June and will be with us for the next year.

Originally from Macclesfield, Lauren moved to the Steel City to study in 2010. Lauren is interested in fashion, likes to keep fit and going to the gym. She would love to travel around Australia after completing her degree.

Lauren is looking forward to the experience and opportunities of her BSSA placement; we wish her the best of luck, and are sure that you will all help her along the way!
